Trebeca Rooftop Wedding // Kate & Matt

December 5th, 2011 | by JulieHill | No Comments

I had such a great time with Kate & Matt on their wedding day!  It was a bit rainy in the morning but that didn’t stop them from having a fantastic time… they couldn’t wait to get married!  We started the day at two respectively cool locations:  Tribeca Grand Hotel where the girls were getting ready, and John Allan Tribeca where the guys got ready.  Then it was off to St. Francis of Xavier for the Ceremony (crazy gorgeous church).  After a short photo session outside the fab venue (Tribeca Rooftop) it was time for their reception on the top floor – complete with city views and rooftop access.   Such a beautiful and fun day!  Congrats you guys! binary option trading

St. Regis Princeville Wedding // Emily & John’s Feature Film

November 3rd, 2011 | by JulieHill | 3 Comments

OMG… been dying to share this wedding for like forever! You already saw their same day edit, but here is there full film! Carolyn Chen – the awesome wedding coordinator, designer, and um… travel agent & concierge (and now their “go-to” for any family party) did a little write up for this post. Here it is:

“Instead of having a large wedding with potentially 500 guests or more, Emily & John loved the idea of having a destination wedding with only their closest family & friends, and so that’s what we did. We decided on the North Shore in Kauai, at the St. Regis Princeville Resort, and Emily & John hosted 100 of their dearest & nearest. The multi-day festivities began with a welcome luau poolside at the St. Regis Princeville Resort where guests were welcomed with kokui nut leis – and included John doing the hula, guests enjoying local Hawaiian cuisine and some of the guests jumping into the pool after having lost a game bet. For the wedding day, it was a gorgeous day though rain clouds came and went sporadically (after all it’s Hawaii, and the area has microclimates) – but the best word to describe the day was Ethereal. The ceremony at Kamani Cove, was set to a backdrop of the Na nou Makana mountains & breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean in Hanalei. Emily had wanted circular seating to create a very intimate ceremony – with a circle of love made with flower petals. All of the guests were again greeted with floral leis, and we incorporated traditional Hawaiian leis for the bride & groom, and their parents.  Emily’s father, who is a Pastor, officiated the wedding – which made the ceremony all the more personable and meaningful. At the wedding reception, there was just a plethora of white flowers everywhere. With hanging candles & candles galore that created a magical atmosphere for the guests while they dined to a 5-course wine pairing dinner. The day after brunch was a reflection of how much all the guests enjoyed the wedding weekend. A lifetime of memories were created in Kauai at Emily & John’s wedding, and watching the feature film again will surely bring back smiles & laughter!” binary option trading

Big Canyon Country Club Wedding // Jacqui & Steve’s Same Day Edit

October 16th, 2011 | by JulieHill | 2 Comments

Well I can honestly say that this past week has been one of the craziest in my entire life.  So crazy in fact that this is the first chance I’ve had to sit down and write this blog post.  And I’m at 37,000 feet on a flight btw.  But I digress.

I am sooooo excited to share this Same Day Edit.  Jacqui and Steve are amazing.  They are a totally down to earth couple and wanted to keep their wedding personal and fun.  They definitely accomplished that and more!

First of all, hats off to all the awesome vendors including Big Canyon Country Club, Kelsey Connelly, True Life Pictures, Found Rentals, Sweet & Saucy, Twigs and Blossom, & Visions Entertainment.  You all rocked it.

And now for the same day edit.  Absolutely love the song and love all the shots that we are able to get.  More about that later in part deux.

But for now, enjoy the film!  Congrats Jacqui & Steve!  We love you guys!!

Montreal Wedding Video // Thyda & Ladi’s Highlights

September 29th, 2011 | by JulieHill | 1 Comment

How gorgeous is this couple? I mean really. From the bride’s Vera Wang gown to the groom’s “instant” pants (I say instant because the morning of the wedding his pants were missing!! Luckily he found a tailor who could hem a new pair right then and there), this couple is awesome.

It was our first time in Montreal and we were blown away. The city is gorgeous, the architecture stunning, the history unique, and the food… amazing!!! Alex and I would love to go back just to hang out one of these days.

Thyda & Ladi planned an incredible party for their friends and family. We started early and after the couple’s “first sight”, we walked all around the old part of the city which made for a great backdrop. We shot alongside Magnolia Wedding Photography and they were a pleasure to work with!  After that, it was off to Le Windsor for the ceremony and reception where Sky Entertainz made sure that EVERYONE danced!  It was seriously a fantastic party.

All in all it was a fantastic event full of love and fun. Check out their highlights here!

Thyda & Ladi… thank you so much for making us feel so welcome!   xoxo!
